About DiA-English

DiA is an organization that was established to foster leaders with true leadership skills who can lead this era. I believe that true leadership is the power to help and encourage others to maximize their abilities based on the power to maximize one’s own abilities, and to beautify the society to which one belongs.

Developing whole-person leaders

DiA has been working to develop holistic leaders who maximize their talents through a program called 5-Dimensional Holistic Education, which is an educational system that develops holistic leaders by training them in five areas: intellect, mind, physical strength, self-management, and interpersonal skills.

Global leadership

DIA has been training leaders in 12 countries, including China, Russia, the United States, Mongolia, and Korea, through the 5-Dimensional Comprehensive Education System, which has been translated into 6 languages, and has been building a global education community movement. A true leader must have a heart that can love universal humanity and have global leadership to help our neighbors around us.

Developing a 5-Dimensional English Learning Method

In order to cultivate leaders with global leadership in this world, it is necessary to have the ability to speak a foreign language well. To this end, DIA has developed the Five Dimensional English learning method based on the principle of the Five Dimensional Language Learning Method as the first method that anyone can easily learn a foreign language, so that many people who have been struggling can overcome the language barrier, master a foreign language, and play a role as a leader in the world.

DIA The Five Dimensions of English

DIA-ENGLISH is a system that starts with 1,820 basic words and spends 120 hours to change the structure of thought and vocalization so that anyone can speak English,

Transforming thought structures

Elementary school students in Korea or the United States don’t have a lot of knowledge, but they speak both Korean and English well. Even with that little knowledge, anyone can speak the language well if they learn the structure of the language, that is, if they learn the structure of thinking.
So at DIA-ENGLISH, we started with 1,820 basic words and made it possible for anyone to speak English after only 120 hours of training in thinking structure transformation.

Transforming Vocalization Structures

Even if you go to a foreign country and you have trained yourself, when you speak English, you often fail because foreigners can’t understand you. In this case, it’s not enough to pronounce it well, you have to know the difference between the English you speak and the English they speak and convert it.
So we trained them to change the syllable count, pitch, etc. of words, which are the most important factors that make English hard to hear, so that everyone can hear and speak.

Apply the 9-step system for academics

Speaking English well is not the same as speaking it fluently. Truly good English is when you can express your thoughts and ideas accurately and influence others.
Therefore, we have developed a 9-step system of academic reading based on the English language that enables students to quickly and accurately acquire, elaborate, and express information through the language of English, and a 5-dimensional English writing method to express their thoughts clearly.

Five Dimensional Korean

Korean language education should go beyond the language education that secures water supply to a paradigm of human education that enables personal exchanges and communication-based collaboration with Koreans.

A new paradigm for Korean language education that will drive a new era

Changing times demand a new paradigm for Korean language education

Population explosion and the need for future core competency training

The National Assembly Budget and Policy Office predicted in its ‘Strategy for Responding to the Population Crisis’ report that the school-age population, which was 5.389 million in 2022, could plummet to 2.68 million in 2040.(November 2023) Korea, which is facing the crisis of an aging population, must also prepare immigration policies to attract talented workers from other countries. For this, it is necessary to educate future core competencies such as communication-based collaboration and creative problem-solving skills along with advanced language education.

Building a global education community

In these times, Korea must play an important role alongside other countries in fostering global citizens who can coexist peacefully and prosper with all people in the world. To this end, we are committed to building a global educational community with our 7.5 million compatriots living abroad and with the people of other countries by sharing high-quality education that can help them live together in the future as citizens of the world.

Five Dimensional Korean Education

The New Paradigm of Korean Education 5 Dimensions of Korean Education

01

National Future Education Strategy of the Republic of Korea

In 2017, the Future Education Strategy Report of KAIST (President Dr. Lee Kwang-hyung) (Chairman Dr. Won Dong-yeon) proposed five-dimensional acceptance education as a new educational paradigm for future education as a conclusion of a group of 100 experts over two years. In particular, the report emphasized that global citizenship education is absolutely necessary for our nation to take the lead in the future era, and that language education for this purpose needs to go beyond language acquisition to a paradigm of human education that enables interpersonal exchanges and communication-based collaboration.

Based on this, we opened the Diamond-collar Global Academy in Almaty, Kazakhstan (Principal Dr. Lee Sung-hyun) in 2017 and have been conducting Five Dimensional Korean Education, producing good educational results to date, and have been expanding Korean education in cooperation with local universities.

03

Established Five Dimensional Korean Language Institute

In 2023, Dr. So Kang-chun, who founded the Five Dimensional Language Research Institute to share Five Dimensional Korean with the world and served as the 11th president of the National Institute of Korean Language, will be inaugurated as the first president, and is building a paradigm of human education that goes beyond language acquisition to interpersonal exchange and communication-based collaboration.

Structure of Five Dimensional Korean Education

As a new paradigm of Korean education, Five Dimensional Korean Education, which is formed by converging with other Five Dimensional Education series, will be a great pillar to create a global education community.

Beginning of Five Dimensional Korean

Five Dimensional Korean began with the book “This is Korean” published by Young Kim in 2007. This book summarizes the characteristics and basic principles of Korean from a foreigner’s perspective, and the author, who has taught Korean to students in the United States, Mongolia, China, and elsewhere for 10 years, has been able to summarize the core of Korean characteristics and basic principles from a foreigner’s perspective better than any other book on Korean based on his experience of teaching actual students abroad.

Integration with the Five Dimensional Education Series

In addition, Five Dimensional Korean has been fused with the Five Dimensional Education series, which has had 3 million readers for 20 years, to build a paradigm of human education that goes beyond language education to develop intellect, mind, physical strength, self-management, and human relationship skills to enable interpersonal exchanges and communication-based collaboration. It also includes creative intelligence and language receptivity education for future core competencies such as communication-based collaboration and creative problem-solving skills.

The Effectiveness of Five Dimensional Korean Education

It has also been proven to be applicable around the world through educational institutions such as universities in China, Mongolia, the United States, Central Asia, and Africa. In addition, Five Dimensional Korean Education will be very useful for educating multicultural families, overseas workers, overseas professionals, and international students in Korea. In the end, through Five Dimensional Korean Education, we will be able to create a global educational community that can coexist peacefully with all peoples with the capabilities of global citizens.

Five Dimensional Korean

Five Dimensional Korean aims to help foreigners understand Korea beyond the level of simple communication to the point where they can use Korean to communicate and work together in real-life situations.

Build language sensitivity first

In Five Dimensional Korean Education, language receptivity is first developed through the “Thinking Structure Transformation Learning Method” and “Vocalization Structure Transformation Learning Method”. The goal is to make it easier for anyone to learn Korean with language receptivity that can transform their cognitive knowledge into utilization knowledge.

Language learning should be native language-centered

The most important thing when teaching Korean to foreigners is not to teach them knowledge or grammar, but to use their native language, which they are already familiar with, to get to know Korean. This will reduce frustration and allow them to learn Korean naturally.

Advanced learning based on creative intelligence

By providing texts that can have a good effect on humans, allowing learners to internalize and experience the texts through their own efforts, and accurately expressing the contents, Korean language skills are improved by leaps and bounds.

Five Dimensional Korean opened a new door in my life
I was introduced to Five Dimensional Education when I started teaching at DiaGlobal School in 2015. As I started to study what Five Dimensional Education is, I learned about what intellect, mind, stamina, self-care, and relationships are, and also about the principle of the ‘doer’. This means that everything I learn, I have to practice and experience for myself before I can teach it to children.

I also practiced eye exercises before reading each day and subjectivizing and objectivizing after reading. This began to change my frame of mind, and the intellectual “sunglasses” I was wearing gradually began to come off, and I noticed that I began to better distinguish between what was important and what was not, and changed my priorities through setting life goals, time management, finding free energy, and self-care.

I am still continuing to study Five Dimensional Korean, and I am very happy with the results I have already achieved, and I am very happy that this knowledge is constantly growing. Learning Five Dimensional Korean has opened new doors for me and helped me to overcome my difficulties and fears of learning a foreign language by showing me the right path, which has helped me to cultivate my mind and intellect, and the habits instilled in me every day, little by little and slowly, help me to develop self-knowledge. I want to study Five Dimensional English and Korean even harder to become a teacher who can teach languages in the easiest and fastest way, especially to students who have many fears like me in language learning.

A little bit every day
My name is Sarah Fregones, I’m an Italian girl and I took lessons with Miyoung Yoo. I’ve been watching K-dramas for 3 years now, and at first I loved the sound of Korean, but it was just songs with words I couldn’t understand. But after taking lessons with Ms. Yoo, I have a better understanding of the Korean structure, which is reversed for us Westerners.

My teacher encouraged me to write sentences with Korean structures about things that happened in my daily routine, such as going to work, walking, or drinking coffee, so I created a lot of sentences with Korean structures and tried to create new ones in the evening. Another thing that was useful for me was to segment the syllables, especially when pronouncing them with the rhythm I learned, this exercise helped me a lot to recognize the words before I just heard the sounds of different words without distinguishing them. The tasks related to my daily life have helped me get better at writing and reading in Korean, and I have come to love practicing reading and speaking in Korean because it makes me feel a little closer to my goal of speaking fluently. This program has helped me to improve my language skills a little bit every day.

SARA SARA FREGONESE(사라 프레고네스), Italy

Incomparable Five Dimensional Korean

I have been teaching Korean to students at a college in Kazakhstan for 11 years. As a native Korean speaker and having mastered Russian, I can confidently say that the Five Dimensional Korean method is the easiest and fastest way to learn the language, both from the point of view of the teacher and the learner.
The typical Korean curriculum is to give texts and vocabulary based on the topic, and grammar is given accordingly. I taught students this way for about seven years. Then I came across Five Dimensional Korean, and at first I didn’t understand this method. The process of changing the thought structure and vocalization structure seemed slower than the usual way of teaching Korean.

However, when a student with a foreign language thought structure learns Korean with a conventional Korean learning method, it takes about two years for the student to be able to speak freely with some degree of freedom and not parrot what he or she has learned from the textbook. However, Five Dimensional Korean practiced changing the thought structure from the beginning, so after about six months, I saw the student speak freely. The advantage of Five Dimensional Korean is that even if students make mistakes in words or grammar, they can still communicate based on the overall structure of the sentence that has been solidified. Also, by understanding the 1 and 5 principles, it prevents students from getting stuck in one research and not moving on to the next.

Five Dimensional Korean, which is based on a five-dimensional learning method that addresses the whole person, may seem like a high barrier because it requires teachers to invest a lot of time and model it themselves. However, it has been said that the only way to surpass AI in the upcoming Fourth Industrial Revolution is to deepen our humanity. In that sense, I would say that Five Dimensional Education and Five Dimensional Korean are not just an education that transmits knowledge, but an education that makes us become ‘me’.

Five Dimensional Chinese

China is a country that is close to us geographically, culturally, and historically. We have developed the Five Dimensional Chinese learning method to help you study Chinese correctly. When the thinking and vocalization structures are transformed and reading is practiced through the nine stages of study, anyone can communicate in Chinese.

How to Learn Five Dimensional Chinese

All languages can be explained by one structure, one principle. The Five Dimensional Chinese learning method deals with the transformation of thinking and vocalization structures based on language receptivity, and enables in-depth communication through reading.

The Fruits of Learning Five Dimensional Chinese

Younghee Park, from Shanghai,
Five Dimensional Korean to Chinese in three months?

Why it’s a five-dimensional language

During a Zoom conference with teachers from around the world, I realized that I had never experienced any difficulties, frustrations, or slumps in my Chinese learning with the Five Dimensions method, and I understood why. I realized that the five-dimensional language learning method is a teaching method that first creates a big bowl of thinking structure and vocalization structure, and then the child learns the language naturally in the order in which he or she learns the native language. And because I was learning Chinese according to that method, I was able to learn Chinese without any slumps. It’s like a child learning their native language and not experiencing slumps or frustration. However, this is not the case in our reality. I also had to speak English not only in school, but also in the world. I took time out of my busy schedule to study English in order to get the score required by the society, but I couldn’t get it to come out of my mouth. I became frustrated and thought that English was not for me. Since I was learning a language against the flow of nature, it may be natural
that even if I invested a lot of time and money in learning a language, I could not achieve results.
The definition of language study that I can give now is this: I am learning a language in a five-dimensional way. If you learn a language in the five-dimensional way that makes sense in nature, equipped with a thinking structure and a vocalization structure, you will be able to speak any language you want.
